Presentation of draft frameworks for action on selected food policies

Background and Objective

The main purpose of the meeting was to present the draft frameworks for action on selected food policies that were developed as part of the JA Best-ReMaP. The meeting provided an opportunity to share the proposed policy frameworks with stakeholders from various sectors. The ultimate goal of these policy frameworks is to guide decision-makers in implementing effective policies and interventions that can lead to a healthier and more sustainable food system.

 

Gathering feedback:
The event provided a platform for stakeholders to provide feedback that could help refine and improve the policies to better meet the needs of the community.

Building partnerships:
The event has facilitated networking and collaboration among stakeholders from different sectors, such as government, industry, academia, and civil society.

Conclusions

Stakeholders have expressed support for the proposed policy frameworks and stated that policies could be effective in addressing key issues related to public food procurement, marketing of food to children, and reformulation of food products.
